Many of California's state workers may be getting a four-and-a-half percent pay raise. The Assembly has voted to ratify a contract with the state's largest workers' union. Legislators who voted for the pay raise say state workers have been dealing with furloughs and other cuts for the past several years. The Senate must now vote on the bill.
