The push to spread a new law named after a murdered high school student in San Diego is gaining traction. Former Facebook general counsel Chris Kelly has decided to give financial backing for lobbying efforts in Washington regarding Chelsea's Law. The new law mandates life prison terms for those convicted of violent sex crimes against children. It is named for 17-year-old Chelsea King, who was raped and killed by a sexual predator in 2010.
