SACRAMENTO -- The Fedora Bandit was sentenced to nine years in prison today.

75-year-old David Griffith Osborne admitted he robbed nine banks between 2009 and 2010 from Sacramento to Lake Tahoe.

Local banks included American River Bank in Rancho Cordova and Bank of the West in Grass Valley.

In each of his seven robberies, Osborne wore a hat, sunglasses and a fake mustache and goatee and demanded money while waving a gun.

He was idntified through survillance images. His DNA was also recovered from an abandoned bicycle he used as a getaway vehicle.
