Come Monday you'll paying more at the pump thanks to an increase in the California gasoline tax. Earlier this year the Board of Equalization voted, 3-2, to raise the state gas tax from 36-cent a gallon to just over 39-cents a gallon on July 1st.

That'll mean California will have the highest combined federal and state gasoline tax in the country at 72-cents a gallon.

The tax is included in the price you pay at the pump, and will not see it on your receipt.
