A Novato real estate investor is facing federal charges of conspiracy and fraud. The Marin IJ says Mohammed Rezaian will plead guilty to allegations of rigging bids at public foreclosure auctions in both San Francisco and San Mateo County. Prosecutors say the man allegedly negotiated payoffs to limit the competition for a property bid. Rezaian would then step in and buy the property at a reduced price.
