Auburn Police have arrested a suspect in connection with a string of burglaries in Auburn over the past couple of weeks.
Police officers spotted the vehicle that matched the description of the vehicle connected with the burglaries in an apartment complex. They then saw a suspect who matched surveillance footage enter the vehicle. As man tried to drive the suspect out of the parking lot, he was stopped by officers.
Thomas Woodhouse, 27, was booked into the Placer County Jail on charges of burglary and possession of stolen property. Additional charges are pending.

AUBURN, Calif. -- A serial burglar has hit a number of Auburn homes in the past couple of weeks.
No one has been hurt yet, but there is a man who has allegedly burglarized seven Auburn homes since July 25th.
According to Auburn police, the intruder has entered the homes through open garages or doors.
On one occasion he used a garage door opener, which was taken from a victim's unlocked vehicle.
Sargent David Neher says it's going to take residents and police working together to catch the criminal.
Police need your help in locating the man who is described as a white male, in his mid 20s to early 30s driving a smaller red four-door vehicle. He has been seen wearing glasses and having a goatee.
