The initial autopsy on the body of a newborn baby found dead in Saugstad Park in Roseville Monday is now complete.
The infant was a girl. The cause of death of the child has not been established.
The body did not show any traumatic injury, said Darin DeFreece, a detective with the Roseville Police Department.
The child still had the umbilical cord and placenta attached. The body of the child was hidden away just off a bicycle path in the park which follows the rambling Dry Creek. The baby was wrapped in plastic bags and placed in a box.
Roseville Police say the investigation will continue and say anybody with any clues or who may know the mother are asked to contact them.
