UNITED STATES -- It's exclusively for the men and women in blue. Law enforcement officers are getting their own social network -- and it is an exclusive for the men and women in blue.
BlueLine is set to launch sometime next month and will allow officers from all types of agencies to share advice and communicate through posts, video, or even instant messaging -- think of it like LinkedIn.

A Sacramento Police Department spokeswoman says they've been following the site's progress and the department sees it as a logical step forward from trade magazines or newsletters.

BlueLine was created by former LAPD Chief Bill Bratton -- who promises it will be secure. It will also boast a marketplace where departments can buy or sell equipment.
