A friend of one of the victims in the fiery crash that killed "Fast & Furious" actor Paul Walker over the weekend is refuting reports the vehicle was drag racing.
"I was there, I saw the car go by me. We were all a part of this. There was no drag racing involved," said Jim Torp, a friend of the other victim, Roger Rodas.
Torp was at the charity event hosted by Rodas and Walker in Santa Clarita Saturday when the pair left in a Porsche to go for a short drive around the area.
He said he heard the crash and ran to the scene with his son, who reportedly saw Walker and Rodas inside the wreckage before the car exploded into flames.
The coroner's office will have to use dental records to positively identify the victims.
Sheriff's officials have said they believe speed was a factor in the deadly crash, and they are looking into all possibilities.
