A filing error may slam the brakes on efforts to put the Kings Arena funding issue on the ballot.
According to News10, Sacramento Taxpayers Opposed to Pork failed to supply the Sacramento City Clerk's Office with proof they filed a notice of intention in a local paper. Because of the minor error, the clerk says they're rejecting all the signatures STOP has collected.
This includes the 18,000 signatures STOP got from Seattle Billionaire Chris Hansen. Even though STOP has missed the deadline for the filing, City Clerk Shirley Concolino says she may wave the deadline if STOP provides the proof of filing.
