Police in Davis are trying to find the person who attempted to blow up a UC Davis fraternity house.
Davis police say members of the Kappa Sigma Fraternity living in a house on Adams Street woke up at about 1 a.m. on Sunday to the smell of natural gas.
They found a gas appliance, possibly a stove, turned on but not lit. They also found a small fire had been started in a bathroom.
Police say the not only were those living in the house in danger from a possible explosion and fire, but the entire neighborhood could have been at risk.
They're asking other fraternities to report anything suspicious.
