Governor Brown has partnered with the governors of seven other states for an initiative that aims to put more than 3 million zero-emission vehicles - or ZEVs - on roadways by 2025. The multi-state effort will include changes to building codes to make it easier to construct charging stations and financial incentives to promote clean cars. ZEVs include battery-powered electric vehicles and plug-in hybrids. The states involved in the new compact make up 25 percent of the current market for them.
