NORAD is tracking Santa again this year as he makes his rounds on Christmas Eve.

In a controversial twist, the military is adding a fighter escort to its animated tracking website this year.

Families logging on at can watch Santa's progress as the "Jolly Old Elf" and his reindeer fly around the globe on December 24th.

The program drew more than 22 million visitors last year and generated thousands of calls from around the U.S.

Google also has its own Santa tracker. Google's version has games and tracks Santa's progress and how many presents he has delivered so far.

KFBK's Tim Lantz got the chance to speak with Major Julie Roberge this afternoon about the intricate details of NORAD's tracking Santa each year.
