A Placer County man has been arrested for leaving his child in the car while he went in and gambled at Thunder Valley Casino.

Deena Erwin with the Placer County Sheriff's department says the Oxnard man arrived at Thunder Valley shortly before 2 a.m. on Tuesday.

At that time, security cameras did not notice that the man's five-year-old boy was in the vehicle.

"One of the casino patrons and her husband walked out to their car at 4:30am and found this little 5-year-old boy barefoot and crying and screaming for his father," said Erwin.

The child was taken to the security office where he was warmed up.

Security searched for the father and found him about 15 minutes later.

42-year-old Don Vo was arrested and charged with a felony count of child endangerment.
