A new study from an online financial data site says Sacramento is one of the worst cities in the nation for parking -- when it comes to cost and the chance of having your vehicle stolen.
The study was done by NerdWallet.com and takes into consideration the daily price for parking, combined with the auto theft rate.
"In terms of motor vehicle theft, Sacramento is actually significantly higher than the national average," NerdWallet Analyst John Kuo said.
Kuo says more than 2,800 cars were stolen in Sacramento last year.
Yet, we only pay $15 dollars a day on average for parking. It's when you blend the two stats together, that Sacramento finds itself at number 10 on the list. But Kuo says the news isn't all bad.
"There's actually been a drop between 2012 and 2013 in terms of motor vehicle theft," Kuo said.
