The national recession ended years ago, but recovery has been pretty varied -- and California hasn't fared well.
A new WalletHub survey shows Stockton and San Bernardino rank dead last in terms of economic conditions in the nation's largest 150 cities.
Analysts looked at 18 indexes including unemployment, personal income changes, real estate values, poverty rates, crime and personal debt in producing their results.
The highest that any California city ranks is number 20, with San Francisco.
Sacramento is number 104.
