Unemployment Applications Fall 10,000

Unemployment Applications Fall 10,000
Posted October 31st, 2013 @ 5:45pm by KFBK News

The number of Americans applying for unemployment benefits fell 10,000 last week to a seasonally adjusted 340-thousand, a sign that employers are laying off very few workers.

Applications are now close to the pre-recession levels that were reached in August.

The numbers somewhat stabilized because California's backlog of unemployment claims was cleared.
