Jon Bon Jovi is taking an active step in helping the homeless. The Bon Jovi frontman was on hand for Tuesday's grand opening event for JBJ Soul Homes, a new housing development in Philadelphia named in the rocker's honor.
The complex, funded in part by the singer's JBJ Soul Foundation, includes retail and office space along with 55 apartments. The residential units will provide affordable housing for people who would otherwise be homeless, as well as young adults aging out of the foster care system and other low-income individuals.
JBJ Soul Homes is affiliated with Project HOME, which is also helping residents with medical care, job training, and other enrichment services.
