Rob Lowe gives credit to Steven Tyler while he was on his road to sobriety. It has been almost 30 years since he first became sober. But after receiving a phone call from Steven Tyler, whom of which he did not know at the time, he decided he had made the right decision. Tyler called Lowe telling him that he had heard he was on the road to recovery and encouraging him, telling him, "it was going to be great!". Lowe stated that if it was good enough for Steven Tyler, it would be good enough for him. Rob Lowe said Tyler is a big part of the person he is today.
