It's Steven Tyler's Birthday!

Steven hit the scene with Aerosmith, in the 1970s, with a string of hit singles, like "Dream On", "Sweet Emotion" and "Walk This Way". Aerosmith blazed a trail through the decade and Tyler felt the effects after heavy drug and alcohol addiction. By the early 80's the band's popularity waned, and Steven completed drug rehabilitation.

Now sober he and Aerosmith would rise to prominence again when Tyler and Joe Perry joined Run-DMC for a re-make of "Walk This Way", which became a Top 5 hit. Getting another bite of the apple, Aerosmith launched a comeback and hit big with multi-platinum albums Permanent Vacation, Pump, Get a Grip and Nine Lives, producing thirteen Top 40 singles and a slew of awards. The band would rock america again embarking on their longest concert tours, promoted by their singles' conceptual music videos, which dominated on MTV, making stars of Alicia Silverstone, Stephen Dorf and Tyler's own daughter Liv Tyler.

In 2016, he released his debut solo album, "We're All Somebody from Somewhere," which became a country rock album that included "Love Is Your Name." He supported the album with the "Out on a Limb" tour, in between being a judge on the hit show American Idol.

Steven Tyler is in Rolling Stone's list of 100 Greatest Singers, third on Hit Parader's Top 100 Metal Vocalists of All Time, and in 2001, was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame with Aerosmith.
